Bret Hunt, MD
Board-Certified Emergency Physician + Compassionate Inquiry
Bret’s journey into healing began in some of the most high-pressure, high-stakes environments in medicine. After earning his Medical Doctorate (MD) from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, he completed his residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center, one of the nation’s busiest Level I Trauma Centers on the South Side of Chicago.
Years of treating acute physical trauma led Bret to a deeper understanding of the invisible wounds we carry. Today, he integrates his medical background with Compassionate Inquiry, a trauma-informed, somatic-based psychotherapeutic approach. By blending clinical insight with deep empathy, he helps others navigate the path from survival to true liberation.
Bret lives in the Upper Midwest with his wife and three daughters, where he remains committed to the work of healing and human connection.
